My name is Aaron Wiseman and I am a political science major. I am from Uptown New Orleans, about 5 minutes away from Loyola's campus. My academic interests include politics, economics, and history. In my free time I enjoy going out with my friends, playing Call of Duty, and watching sports. My plans for after Loyola are to move to Washington D.C to attend school at Georgetown Law Center. One recent event in the news that has caught my attention is President Obama urging Congress to approve a military strike in Syria. It is ironic that the Obama administration is using the same initiatives as the Bush administration to justify intervention in Syria, just as in Iraq. Both presidents claimed there was use of chemical weapons or WMD's, and that somehow these countries are a real threat to America's national security. One would think that this flawed foreign policy by the United States in the middle east would be improved by now, but that is simply not the case.
