I was watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart today when Jon Stewart mentioned he was hoping that another news story would break so he would not have to talk about the U.S. getting involved with Syria , and it made me wonder. How much harder is it to satirize serious political issues than stories about Anthony Wiener a.k.a. "Carlos Danger". And why is that when often at times it is the serious issues that need to be made fun of. Like the saying goes "Many a true word is spoken in jest" .
I'm not sure what kind of jokes you want to make about the victims of a sarin gas attack. Carlos Danger, on the other hand, is really asking for it.
